The foundation supports and realizes ambitious works that merge music, theater, film, and visual arts into a unified, exploratory practice. Rooted in Cross’s philosophy of “Transmedial Suprematism,” the foundation’s work seeks to make all artistic elements - language, sound, movement, image, meaning, and form - interact endlessly. This ongoing dialogue drives projects that challenge artistic boundaries and foster continuous transformation. Emerging from the long-standing Donskoy Institute of Change, the foundation provides a formal structure for artistic production, collaboration, and innovation. Objectives of the Foundation The Doncaster Art Foundation aims to cultivate an environment in which art functions as a dynamic and transformative process. Its primary objective is to develop and produce multidisciplinary projects that unite diverse artistic disciplines and encourage the fusion of media into new and experimental forms. The foundation advances the philosophy of Transmedial Suprematism by promoting continual interaction among the essential elements of artistic creation—language, sound, movement, image, meaning, and form. Through this approach, it seeks to redefine traditional boundaries between art forms and foster practices that are fluid, innovative, and reflective of ongoing change. Equally, the foundation provides a platform for collaboration and exchange among artists, thinkers, and cultural organizations. By facilitating partnerships across disciplines and contexts, it aims to stimulate creative dialogue, shared experimentation, and collective discovery. In this way, the foundation supports the emergence of new artistic vocabularies and the realization of projects that embody transformation both in form and meaning. Activities The foundation produces and presents artistic works that integrate music, theater, film, and visual art. It organizes performances, exhibitions, film projects, and collaborative workshops, and provides production support for experimental projects developed within the Donskoy Institute of Change and in partnership with other cultural institutions. Finances and Fundraising The foundation raises funds through grants, donations, partnerships, and private contributions. All financial resources are used exclusively to achieve the foundation’s objectives and to sustain its commitment to artistic innovation, collaboration, and cultural development. Management and Use of Funds The board ensures responsible financial management and transparency. Any surpluses are reinvested in future artistic projects. Board members receive no remuneration, only reimbursement for actual expenses incurred, in accordance with ANBI regulations. Future Vision The Doncaster Art Foundation aims to develop into a sustainable international platform for experimental and multidisciplinary art production. It remains committed to fostering collaboration, innovation, and public engagement with contemporary art, continuing to expand its role as a center for transformative creative practice.
